ABOUT VALENTINE BAIL BONDS

Our founder, David Valentine, spent 6 years in the US Military as a staff sergeant, and began his career In Jacksonville working for the Prudential Insurance Company. After three years at Prudential, he worked for a local bail bondsman and fell in love with the bail bond business.


In 1984, he opened Valentine Insurance & Bail Bonds Inc. David Valentine and his family have been serving North Florida ever since. David unfortunately passed away in November 2008, at which time the reins of the company were picked up by his wife Ingrid Valentine. Ingrid continued running the business until her retirement in early 2020. Dave and Ingrid’s son in law, Mark Ellis, began running the company following Ingrid’s retirement. Mark has been a bail bondsman with the company for 18 years.


Every case is handled with the same quality and care that was set forth by Dave nearly three decades ago.     The fee for a Bail Bond in Florida is always 10% of the total bond amount. These fees are set by the State of Florida and are not negotiable.

  • • WHAT DO I NEED TO GET A BOND?

    You will need a Florida Driver's License or Florida ID Card, as well as steady income. You will also need to enter into a contractual agreement and pay the 10% bail bond fee.
